In recent days, yet another outstanding recognition was delivered to Darna-Liquor Factory of Rovinj.  Darna’s Ovo Liker was awarded a golden medal at one of the biggest wine and spirit competitions in the world – the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) in London, England.  This award further honors Darna’s commitment to uncompromising quality.  A committee of expert judges awarded Ovo Liker the 2016 IWSC Gold Medal in the category of Liqueur (Egg Liqueur), as it stood out amongst a field of heavy competitors from around the world.

The International Wine & Spirit Competition is an event that promotes and rewards the world’s best wine and spirits and has been regarded as one of the most prestigious competitions of its kind since beginning in 1969.  Their prizes are internationally recognized as a mark of quality and are considered one of the highest honors in the industry.

To Darna, this honor confirms that commitment to quality and tradition are truly worthwhile. Throughout it’s 90 years of its existence, Darna has never sacrificed these values.  The authenticity of this original recipe preserves today for all to enjoy.

This 2016 award for Darna’s Ovo Liker will be proudly displayed alongside those won last year by Darna’s Pelinkovac (2015 IWSC Outstanding Silver Medal) and Darna’s Amaro (2015 IWSC Silver Medal).
